Description
You’ll be responsible for the proactive maintenance of machines and the facility. This includes inspecting equipment for malfunctions and irregularities, and repairing or replacing parts as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a deep understanding of machinery, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-paced environment. Key tasks include maintaining, repairing, installing and assembly of mechanical equipment to ensure smooth operation and minimal downtime.
The schedule is afternoon shift, 3pm-11pm, Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend work required, as the machines run 24/5 but sometimes 24/7.
Hourly wage of $42-$50 per hour with OT available. Benefits after 3 months (70% paid by employer).
Room for growth as ideally this person will move into the lead or supervisor role.
Requirements
- Must be Certified Millwright 433A
- Two (2) years of food or production manufacturing experience preferred
- Experience in heavy industrial setting
- Ability to read and interpret work drawings, schematics and specifications
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada without company sponsorship
