Red Seal Millwright (4 days on 4 days off)

Overview

Our client is experiencing huge growth and currently looking to add an experienced industrial mechanic (millwright) to help sustain required maintenance needed to improve operational capacity. In this role you will work outside in a yard environment and provide repair services to heavily used conveyors. You will also perform motor repairs, and when required help with mechanical work on heavy mobile machinery and do some fabrication.

The position is 4 days of 4 days off with shifts running 6am-6pm with overtime paid after 40 hours per week, meaning you will have 8 hours overtime built into each 4 day rotation since the shifts are 12 hours. Great opportunity to earn 130-140k per year plus, while only working half the year.

Duties include:

-Troubleshooting and diagnosis of motors, conveyors, other related industrial production equipment

-Fabrication as required

-Maintaining and repairing machinery as required, attempting to minimize parts/machine replacement as much as possible

-Working with small team and as individual as required

-Documenting repair activities and adhering to work orders

-Assisting with maintenance repairs on mobile equipment as permits

Requirements

-Must be comfortable working outdoors majority of the time

-Red Seal or Journeyman Millwright/Industrial Mechanic

-Must have 5 years experience in related duties

-Background and familiarity troubleshooting, repairing conveyors, motors, other related stationary plant equipment

-Ability to fabricate

-Positive attitude and self-motivated

-Must be in good physical heath

-Comfortable and able to work with minimal supervision

-Should be a person who enjoys staying busy and can effectively handle a robust work pace

-Fluent in verbal and written English

-Legally entitled to work for any employer in Canada
