Maintenance Specialist
Job Description
We are looking for a motivated Maintenance Specialist who is starting their career in the trades or has recently graduated from a technical or trades program. In this role, you will help maintain and troubleshoot mining technology equipment used in mineral analysis operations. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems in an industrial environment while learning from experienced team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns
- Troubleshoot technical issues both on-site and remotely
- Provide technical support via phone, email, and remote access
- Support equipment installations and commissioning
- Train customers on equipment operation and basic maintenance
- Maintain service records, spare parts, and inventory
- Work closely with internal teams and international partners
- Promote and follow workplace health and safety practices
Qualifications
- Experience in maintaining electro-mechanical or technical equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on experience with electrical, mechanical, or electronic systems
- Customer service or field service experience is an asset
- Comfortable working in industrial or mining environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Strong English and French communication skills
- College diploma in Mechatronics or related technical field
- 2 years of related experience preferred
- Valid driver’s licence and legal authorization to work in Canada
- Ability to travel within Canada and internationally as needed
