Red Seal Commercial Transport Mechanic (4 on 3 off)

We are looking for a Red Seal Commercial Transport Mechanic to join a highly reputable company to perform preventative maintenance on a commercial fleet of transit vehicles in the Victoria/Langford area in BC.

Must have open flexibility to work either days or nights including weekends.  

Shifts are 4 x 10 hours. 

What you’ll be doing:

-Perform inspections, troubleshooting and diagnostics under the direction of Maintenance  Supervisors

-Repair and maintenance on fleet vehicles including brake systems, suspension, engines, hydraulics, electrical, AC, fuel systems, transmissions and driveline components

-Complete and update paperwork and other systems accordingly to ensure proper documentation and paper trail 

-Red seal trade ticket in Commercial Transport Mechanics or HD Mechanics with air brakes 

-Minimum Class 5 Driver’s License and clean driving record 

-Class 2 Learners AND a Temporary #15 air brake restriction/endorsement required for the first day of employment or already hold a Class 3 License with Air Brake Endorsement

-Consent to criminal background check

-Complete on-site physical assessment 

-Provide proof of full vaccination for COVID 19 (as per definition provided by Health Canada)

-Previous experience working for commercial fleet or commercial transport companies an asset 

-Must have open availability to work days and nights and weekends 

-Legally entitled to work in Canada
