Description
As the Team Lead you will be reporting to the plant manager and be hands-on and oversee a small mechanical maintenance team, provide leadership, assign tasks and work alongside the team to complete maintenance activities in the facility.
Some of your responsibilities will include performing preventative maintenance, repairs, diagnostics and troubleshooting of various mechanical systems, plant equipment and mobile equipment. You will be solution oriented with a strong focus on root cause analysis and be able to make recommendations to improve efficiency and overall performance of machines and equipment. You will be responsible for coordinating outside contractors as well as plant labour. You will also be ordering parts and maintaining stock in coordination with other department leads and the plant manager.
You will be safety-conscious and ensure all work is performed to code as well as company safety standards and practices.
Schedule is Monday through Friday, standard working hours with some OT available.
You will also be required to participate in the on-call rotation for emergency call outs.
Compensation is up to $47 per hour with excellent benefits and career advancement opportunities available.
Requirements
-Minimum 3-5 years experience in manufacturing
-Previous leadership or supervisory experience
-Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
-Ability to delegate effectively
-Welding experience an asset
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
-Ability to prioritize by level of urgency
-Comfortable working in an outdoor environment
-Good computer skills
-Physically capable to lift 50lbs and be on your feet
-Full driver’s license and clean driving record
-Authorized to work in Canada for any employer
